Far Rockaway, Hurricane Sandy Relief
Far Rockaway is a pre-released song from my upcoming 2013 record 'Distress From The Milky Way'. After the devastation of hurricane Sandy, I decided to get this out early and will donate every dollar or more to hurricane relief, specifically to Occupy Sandy(they are doing the best job!). From the crossing of the eerie spaceship-sounding Gil Hodges Bridge, to the sanctity of one of the greatest beaches in NYC, the Far Rockaways have been a huge inspiration to us city dwellers. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this East Coast banjo surf tune, tinged in electromagnetic hiss. Please note, this song was written and recorded before the events of hurricane Sandy. Sending lots of warmth and wishes to all disaster victims.
