Video/Sound Collaboration

Derelict Daisy from Brian Zegeer on Vimeo.

This is "Derelict Daisy" a video project that Brian Zegeer created. It is inspired by the Frank/Leslie short "Pull My Daisy"(1959) staring Allen Ginsberg, Peter Orlovsky, Gregory Corso, and beautifully narrated by Jack Kerouac.

I did an all electronic performance on this piece using my new inventions-- Tea Forte'(a three oscillator noise cracker), a theremin, various circuit-bent toys, a sampler, and a prepared speaker.

*note--this was a live performance at Vaudeville Park. The sound quality is not the best because we used a video camera mic. We hope to re-record and perform this again in the future. For right now, it will give you an idea of what could happen. Hope you enjoy: )

Living Room Residency Thus Far

Thanks to Dave Berger and Space Pimp for playing the opening night with me. Dave is now in New Zealand enjoying the warm scenery. Also, a big shout out to Emil McGloin for playing baritone and acoustic guitar with me last week. And, of course, Synth-Head#7 for making an appearance Earth all the way from planet Synthia with Anthony Johnson.

Next week, 2/16 at the Living Room will be awesome. We already got a nice writeup on BeaconPass site for this show. This will be the same lineup as my Crystalline Flux show last year. The incredible Emily Manzo on prepared piano, scintillating cellist Brent Arnold, synthesis master-mind Joey Johnson, and the drumming force of Mr. Anthony Johnson.
